- Plastic Canvas Mesh

- Zip Ties or Yarn

- Marker

- Project Scissors

- Hot Glue Gun

- Clothes Hangar

- Wire Cutters

- As a general rule your goal is to make a uniform and balanced structure. I feel it's best to measure and draw out your cut points and half-way points before you start putting the pieces together. This makes keeping the head uniform easy.

- First take a sheet of mesh and divide it in half lengthwise. In turn, draw out the length and width half-way points for these two new pieces.

- Next connect those two pieces with zip-ties/yarn to form the center base of the head.

- Cut out two strips to form the top of the head. Also draw out halfway lines on this and then attach these to the base in a cross pattern. HINT: Attach one strap to where the two center pieces are connected to add rigidity to the structure.

- Now you need a muzzle (because mouthless fursuits are sad). Basically you want to form a ring with the top-half being wider than the bottom. I achieve this with two strips.

- Next I add a small strip of mesh to the ends of each half to give you something to build off of.

- Now slap that sucker onto the base of the head.

As you can see I have also added a strip going from the muzzle to the side of the base. This gives added rigidity and also helps to give you something to work when when adding foam for the cheeks and upper jaws. Also hit up all of the collection points with hot glue. I tend to feel the more support the merrier.

- I also take this time to cut out the ears. I cut out pieces of clothes-hangars and add these to the back of the ears so that they can be posed, but I do not attach these until the bulk of the foam has been added.

Now you are ready for foam!
